A nice development of the true culture of UAE, with lots of books, arts and culture to all age groups. This has lots of parking place to facilitate the visitors.

The Qasr al Hosn is a restored fortification in the middle of the city, a remanent of the historic establishment of the city of Abu Dhabi. It retells the story of the various Sheikhs and how they developed the Emirate. Relatively uncrowded, it makes for a simple quiet view of life in the desert in the old times. There is arts centre attached to the fort, but it was shut for an event so couldn't visit it. But I had a chance to experience the coffee ceremony - Bait al Gahwa.…

I went to Qasr Al Hosn with mediocre excpectations but the visit turned out to be one of my favourite experiences in Abu Dhabi. The building itself is nice and the museum gives a good overview of the history but the real gem of our visit was our tour guide (I believe called Layla) who not only shared interesting facts about the country's past but also opened us the door into the local culture! Another great experience was the coffee ceremony that is included in the ticket price.…
