What a treat this market is!!! This is one of several gates that allow you to enter into the Old City of Damascus. Being a Pedestrian only entrance, you will find plenty of shops under the "gun shot" roof that covers you from the shade....More

I actually lost in this amazing widespread bazaar . The main lane is too long and every 100 meter, ,there is another lane is both side directions.

You can almost find all what you want their with very good prices!! besides you feel like shopping in the middle of old times as it is a traditional souq!!

Avoid the main way in Hamidiyyeh .. take the side alleys.. you will discover shops you haven't seen and the bargains are MUCH better. Also, try Bikdash icecream, its a traditional iceream made by beating milk, arabian gum, flower water in a big iced bucket....More

There are restaurants and coffee shops near the entrances... an adult person can simply sit there until shoppers are done with their tour.
