So our visit was excellent. We were looking for perfumes and were delighted . The souq was good for young children at this time . The shopkeepers as usual were attentive. The bartering skills are needed . But you get good prices.

My husband and I only had a couple of hours to spend at the Mutrah Souq which was plenty. There were tons of little stalls full of spices, antiques, and tourists gifts. We were amazed by all of the silver daggers and knifes from the...More

Standard normal souk. Easy to navigate but quite pricey and they were not keen on bargaining much. There were some nice items but very pricey. Standard souvenirs, crafts, jewellery and food. We were not hassled too much. Went early evening. Nice atmosphere and eateries near...More

It was our first suq experience. We enjoyed this visit and also bought saffron and other gifts. We recommend to go with a guide who speaks arab fluent. So negotiations are possible with the mainly gentle salesman. Because negotiating about prices are mandatory.

We arrived here at 4pm and things were just opening up after lunch. Many stalls were not open and wished we had come later for its full effect. There was also a cruise ship there and it was packed with tourists.

The most interesting piece is that it sits astride a wadi so post-rainfall water flows through the souq's streets (washing detritus with it) under the corniche and into the sea below. Wish we'd been able to see that. Instead, the main drag contains the usual...More

Very atmospheric Souk filled with interesting things to look at and buy. The kind of place I could spend hours looking around and buying too many things I don’t need. It was a non cruise day when we visited so maybe business was slow but...More

We came here two different times and had very different experiences. The first time we were here, we were basically alone and were swarmed by the vendors. We ended up leaving after a few minutes because it was just overwhelming. The second time we went,...More

Each old souk has a soul. Also this one. Unfortunately there wasn't to much opened stands (as cruise ship arrives on Sundays only and we have been there on Saturday). Close to souk main entrace there are restaurants with very nice food with small prices.

Expansive traditional soukh with lots to buy. Located in the centre of the Old Port area within a maze of confined lanes mostly covered. Need to barter for best prices.

You can find it in one of the famous brand malls. This is an old market for souvenirs and gifts
