Easy parking here, and larger than expected grounds. Were not allowed into the palace but still a good photo shoot.

The building is Ok but not beautiful enough to make an effort to visit unless its part of an organized tour. You can see the first from here too but as you can't go inside any of them you're limited to a distance photo opportunity

The official residence of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman is a reflection of Oman itself, not pretentious but beautiful in its own way, a fitting royal residence.

Nice grounds and a good place to walk around for an hour or so. You cannot go inside, just view fro the gate. It's close to the new Museum, and Mutrah area. Easy to catch a taxi here. Worth a short stop.
