Write ups suggested an active restaurant and art scene, and while there is some of that there, not really enough to warrant a trip.

It’s a pretty new development near the center of Beirut. Not much to see but it gives you a flavour of the historical architecture of the city.

Unfortunately when we arrived the street, all stores were closed. this is not related with our arriving day. I think the store moved out. You can reach by walking from downtown.

Beirut had to rebuild everything from scratch, so I wouldn't expect anything... but this area is a bit fake.. especially for an european person. FUll of luxury brands and restaurants/ bars.. it is overall nice but lacks of charm

nice little area different from the rest with many little shops that are mostly in the artistic side of things.

The neighborhood was heavily damaged during the Lebanese Civil War. The company Solidere acquired the land and buildings and totally rebuilt it. It is very nice (and expensive), but lacks the character of the old neighborhood. There are some cool boutiques and galleries.
