Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Way back in 1975 I had an apartment overlooking Pigeon Rocks and started each day with a swim out and through the arch. Tragically the civil war in Lebanon started and far too soon I had to be evacuated, but wherever I have subsequently been, in Papua New Guinea, Africa, including the summit of Kilimanjaro, America and much of Europe, that place remains my all-time favourite, treasured in my memory.
Unfortunately I had to enter a ficticious date for my experience as the system wouldn't accept actual visit date of continuous between January and June 1975

Located on the corniche in Beirut ..easily accessible for photos from the sidewalk. There are also boat trips around the rocks and an excellent restaurant called Bay Rock overlooking the rocks ..best way to enjoy the view with breakfast, lunch or dinner

I am surprised by some comments suggesting that "there is no need to see here". If this place is not worth visiting, I dont know where it is. If you have limited time, ignore one more random cafe in Hamra or Gemmayzeh and come here!!! One of the most impressive natural rock formation I have ever seen. Beyond beautiful!

It was just a walkable distance from my hotel. I reached so fast and when I 1st time saw these beautiful natural rocks, I was like Waw! It is huge, it is beautiful, different shape from different angle. Also possible to get a boat and see them just from water. Gorgeous nature! Love it!

It is a beautiful scenery for photos, definitely a must see in Beirut. It is not much to do, you cannot really reach the rocks themselves, but the walk through the promanade is a very nice one. Definitely different perspective on the city, you can see another side of Beirut.

These rocks are a symbol of Lebanon, and Beirut! We took a walk from Hamra area to the rocks. It was a great walk along the beach road.
The rocks themselves are unique, and very picturesque! Definitely worth a quick visit!

We went to see the Pigeon Rocks at Raouche in Beirut. We were enjoying the scenery and taking pictures when a man called Hussein approached us and asked us if we would like to get a boat ride. He said that we are gonna be in a big boat that he pointed at and we will get a tour to the caves, the islands and the big hollowed rock with music. We were excited about it and we agreed after negotiating the price. We went down by car to this small place where a man called Mohammed Itani insisted on us paying for him before we go down to take the boat, so we did. The first disappointment was the disgusting boat, but we didn't say anything, the second disappointment was that the ride we took was for almost 10 minutes and it didn't cover any island as they advertised. It was just one nearby dirty cave and the hollowed rock. When we asked the sailor to take us to the island, he asked for more money and he didn't do it. When we arrived back, someone was waiting for us to ask us to give a tip for the sailor but because we were cheated, we didn't. Do not take that cheap boat ride and if you must, do not pay before hand.

On the corniche next to starbucks. The locals in the area will calling for trips. It costs around 20$. The price was after a bargain. It was originally 40 $. Make sure that you take long ride (30 mintues). A hint: there is an artist who xan draw you instantly for 13 $. That would be a lovely souvenir. Additionally there are photographers who can take a instant photo for 3$.
