Love walking through the old Bazaar, and getting lost in all the lanes. Lots of smiles and attention, but not really pressure for you to buy anything. Nicer and calmer atmosphere than the bazaar in the middle East.

It is typical bazar of ancient Persia Huge, and you get everything under the sun .. it is place more for explore than shopping .. there are lots of things to shop especially Dry Fruits and Nuts .. its a place you need time in hand and know how to enjoy the culture it is huge and can take up... This Bazar is a place to visit while you are staying in Tehran There is a area that you can find Persian carpets, but you are able to find Gold in Gold section and other stuff , it is crowded and busy but you can enjoy the visit and Moslem Resturant is very busy but the food is delicious, it... If you've been to lots of bazaars this won't be too interesting. For sheer scale and to get the local Tehran experience however it is worth a wander for a couple of hours. Be sure to drop into Moslem restaurant which is great and Golestan palace is also Close by. Not too much in the way of things you might... More
