I have 7hrs layover in Bahrain and I picked the National musuem to visit. It cost 7dinar taxi from the airport to the museum without the meter. (I later realised Uber is less than half the price of it). The reception at the musuem let me in early before the opening time. He even kindly gave me 1dinar when I didn't have enough cash in hand to get back to the airport. Thank you. I spent 3.5 hours in the musuem incl. the cafe. There were lots to see if you are interested in their history. The architect of the building isn't that great like some would say. …

Different dimension of art .!. Very impressive and amazing art work displayed .! There is Cafe called Darseen just at the end of the museum with an amazing sea view and an outdoor seating ..!

This is a delightful surprise for a national museum. Currently there’s a fabulous Bahrain art exhibit at both twin sites of the national museum and the adjoining theatre. Once inside there’s so many exhibits to choose from. The dinosaur exhibit was particularly nice with great videos. A pleasure to see!…

Had time for a quick visit - had euro but they accept only local currency but guy at entrance let us go in free . Lovely friendly people . Called into the coffee shop and had delicious cake . Lots of interesting exhibits - worth a visit - wish we had more time here
