Al Dar is a lovely island to visit, a nice place to go if you want to escape the mainland for a few hours. I have visited 3 times over the last 5 years with my Dad and daughter. it was cool travelling by a boat to get to the island. The beach was very clean, nice and Sandy. There was a shop and cafe there to get food and necessary drinks to keep you hydrated. There were changing rooms and showers. You could do water sports such as water skiing and jet ski. I wanted to go just to relax and on the beach sat on the deck chair it was peaceful and bliss...it helped by having a nice cold can of red horse lager, what more do you need. I've been several times each year for 3 years. My favourite Bahrain place to go. Ideal for friends or family visiting. Always phone in advance as in windy weather they cancel the boats. The rented houses (85 BD plus) great for a peaceful couple of days. Or rent the huts for 15 BD plus for larger ones. (For shade) You can take your own drinks & food. Bars there and small burger/BBQ restaurant does basic but decent food. Normal prices. Rent jet skis etc. Best days for peace & quite is weekdays. Friday DJ is noisy but you can move to the huts at other parts of the island. Highly recommended. Kids & adults love the boat ride.…
