This is a wonderful place to visit in Riyadh. Not only are the exhibits interesting and informative but the architecture is contemporary. In evening the outside spaces are perfect to walk around with atmospheric lighting and water features between the gardens.

A must see for visitors to Riyadh. The building is beautiful and the exhibitions in the museum absolutely "must see". Do not forget to have a look at the King's cars!

Beautiful grounds, with green and water. The building is nice if stuck in a 1970's feel, it needs renovation and updating, museums have moved on. The neighbouring King Abdulaziz museum palace is fascinating and well worth a visit. It is a nice authentic look into how this kingdom was born and the life of a v interesting man.

This is a superbly constructed museum with a lot of information that is very well delivered. It is quite relaxing wandering from era to era.

very well established modern building with an excellent layout of the history of the country going back over 1430 years .the quality of the exhibits were astounding as they all were expropriated from the country own historical sites and very well co-ordinated and presented in a methodical and beautifully presented order I would highly recommend visitors to view this museum... Just do it. Find the time and go. Lots to see; lots to learn. I highly recommend it. It's kind of a deep-dive into Saudi history from its geological formation, early history, the rise of Islam, the first and second Saudi kingdoms, through to the 20th Century and the discovery of oil. It's a good introduction and will broaden and... More

There is an interesting mix here of exhibits that merit inclusion in any good collection and a narrative that is designed to reflect the regime's particular interpretation of history and other ideological issues. The latter, for example, is illustrated by the lengths to which the exhibits dealing with natural history are surrounded by Quranic quotations. It comes across as almost... More

A lovely museum that tells the story of Saudi Arabia from the very dawn of humanity until today. My favorite part was the Jahiliyya section which focused on Pre-Islamic Poetry. So beautiful!
