Takes a solid climb to walk to the citadel but lovely views of the whole city from there. Also some nice historical things for the history buffs

Beautiful place to visit and know about how the everything changes with time. From stone age to B.C. There is a museum which shows you almost everything used in the stages of life by the people in jordan. We can see the while from the top snd believe me it is amazing.

The Citadel is Roman time archaeological site. Once you arrive at the top at the site it gives nice view of all 7 mountains on which Amman was supposed to be situated in earlier times. It gives good view of the city and even Amphitheater down below.

The citadel is a good tourist place. It gives a nice view of the city but it will require the visitor to walk a distance to explore it completely. Photography enthusiasts will have good time capturing the city and understanding major locations of the city. It is certainly worth visiting once!

We visited the Citadel on a tour of Amman we took with Jordan Select Tours (highly recommend them!). Our driver procured a guide for us, which I would highly recommend. It makes the visit much more pleasurable, in my opinion. The Citadel was not the most amazing place I have been, but it's an interesting place, and the views are... More

Its a beautiful place high up on one of the mountains. 360 degrees view from the top is amazing. Archeological museum and the ruins are a pleasure to watch. Fortunately it was a very clear bright and sunny day hence the pics came out well.

This location has more to offer than initially meets the eye. The grounds provide panoramic views of Amman, but the museum on site has an incredible amount of artifacts from around Jordan. For any new visitor to Amman, this is a must see!
