Much history all around. Hire a local guide who will speak impeccable English to help explain the layers of history from pre-historic cultures through the Amonite period, Roman/Byzantine, Islamic.

Thousands years of history in one spot. Add to it a prime spot to gaze at downtown amman. A must visit. Only downside is the museum which need a proper retrofit.
