Although an ancient port, so far as I can tell, most of what you now see dates back to Ottoman times. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. We'd have enjoyed it more if we'd read about it in advance.

Nice area with many restaurants, boardwalk, shops. Easy location to walk to and close to the beach. Parking is available if you drive and close to public transportation. Not too hectic or crazy like other beaches.
