This is a bustling shopping experience. it is crowded, loud, and very diverse in people and goods on offer. It is not to be missed if in the area. You can find almost anything you need there in a raucous, fun environment. It has a holiday shopping environment any day of the year. If you want fewer crowds, go earlier... More

Interesting place, full of colors, you can find all kinds of food, spices and everything else. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fast food - and local specialities. Souvenirs for cheap and lots of people - locals do their shopping in the market. Good deals can be found.

If you are on a low budget or just want to get a full experience of Israel culture, you should visit the market. The market has a wide variety of finds for persons of all religions, ages and cultures. It can be very crowded on Fridays since persons go shopping before Shabbat. This however doesn't hinder locals and foreigners who... More

The local and cheap market on the Street. It is cheap according the Israel market price actually it is not cheap when you compare with Turkey and Greece. You can find different quality products . The textile section are the cheapest. The sales people are friendly. Carmel market is open 6 days in a week except Saturday.

Market was a fun walk through, with booths lining both sides of the street having a wide variety of food, deserts, candy, and various wares you would expect in this type of bazar area. Worth a couple of hours for the experience if you have not been before, and it hard to leave without eating something!!

Last year in the Jerusalem market Machane Yehuda I bought the most amazing loose tea, full of flowers and herbs. It melted gorgeous. This year, while in The Tel Aviv market, I went looking for the tea again. After being told by two vendors that there was no such thing as Bedouin Chai, I found a barrel full. Sadly, the... More
