The biography of a man who survived the German inferno and destruction, where he intended the life of the love of the land and the people, the discovery of the Hebrew language, both humorously and skillfully. After immigrating to Israel with his wife, he played a very creative and important role for the defense establishment and the development of the... More

We actually just wanted to make a spontaneously visit at the Joseph Bau-House near the Rothschild-Boulevard. Coincidentally we arrived when a workshop just started and we were invited to join. Joseph Bau's daughter told the stories behind is works and of his live in a very fascinating way. Theses stories and the work are very much worth a visit.

Visiting the Joseph Bau house and being hosted by his daughter Hadassa was a highlight of our trip to Tel Aviv. Joseph Bau stood for everything positive in life and visiting his house was an inspiring experience. You will enjoy his unique art, learn of his fascinating forays into the Hebrew language, his commitment to the arts with virtually no... More

We were honored to be received by Clila and Hadasa Bau, along with some of their close friends for an intimate Birthday Celebration and Tour of the Museum. This is one of the 'hidden pearls' of Tel Aviv. It is rich in History, and connects the Second World War with Israel, rightly so!! Joseph Bau, gifted as an artist, musician,... More

Being born in Tel Aviv I should have known the artist Yoseph Bau. But I did not know him, as an artist. I knew his name and I rarely met him in our office. He was a timid person who was known just to the "elders" of the office. Operators / handlers of resorces never met the people who enabled... More

We heard about the Joseph Bau Museum during a lecture in Seattle. We happened to be leaving for Israel the next week. We contacted Hadasa and Clila, daughters of Joseph Bau, the next day and arranged a visit to the museum during our trip. Hadasa met us there and we spent the next few hours enjoying the art while listening... More

In this studio and workplace, the animator/humorist/illustrator/author's daughter provides you with a glimpse of an amazing character and his story-- unknown by most, because of his secret 'other life' as an agent in the Mossad (Israel's secret service). Highly recommended.
