I loved seeing the city from the ramparts. It took a few hours, and you need to be able to climb ancient steps, some steep or irregular. Every stone was beautiful and meaningful. You saw laundry on roofs, children at play, shop keepers setting up...More

If you have trouble with heights or walking up stairs, this is not for you. Scenic view of the Old City. Good activity for a Saturday, when most everything else is closed.

We walked the southern portion and loved it. The strenuous walk up and down steep stairs offers unique and exhilarating perspectives on the Old City. It's also a great way to get from Jaffa Gate to the Dung Gate, for example to get to the...More

Highly recommended - for 18NIS you get to walk the walls - I did only the southern section, and it was well worth it for the stunning views out over the surrounding ancient and modern city.

You can get an overview because you see both inside & outside the wall where the Old City was defended or attacked, with archery slits you can look through.

I wanted to get a great view of Jerusalem. Unfortunately I went on a Friday and the section that passes through the Muslim parts were closed.

YES - we used the ticket to go North one day and then South the NEXT day... just confirm with the ticket agent when you buy it how long it is good for but you may definitely do it on different days. It is tiring enough that... More

You pass the gate into the square, and immediately on your left there is the tourist office where you get the tickets.
