We went there a few years ago, and friends told us that it's now even better. Take a guided tour or you'll miss out on what you see and how old it is. These tunnels are a great way to spend time on a hot...More

We had a most interesting time touring the Kotel tunnels with Dave. For an entire hour Dave took us through the nearly half kilometer of excavated tunnel with clear explanations of the first temple and of the second temple. The tunnel follows the entire length...More

Walking the tunnels was more moving, in a different way, than the Wall, observing the architecture of the actual walls below the current ground level. The advanced engineering techniques to carve and position the stones in the building process. Original workmanship preserved >2000yrs are without...More

Fascinating place to visit and look at the old walls. The huge stone that is part of the wall is amazing and getting so close to the Holy of Holies is a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

We walked the tunnels and the history explained. It is so hard to imagine that we were walking in the footsteps of people of over 2000 years ago. The engineering feats of those days is amazing.

Not everyone takes the time to visit this site, but it is well worth the walk. It gives one a better understanding of the importance of this structure.

Great history to be seen under the walls throught the tunnels, and the guide gives a great narrative that makes it all fit together nicely.

Which tour do you book first when considering the tunnel tour and then the behind the scenes tour???? so that one ends and the other begins.

I think I would choose first "Behind the scenes" and then the tunnels, but all depends when they have available place for both tours.

I only know of the tour we took. Tix are timed and we bought them in passageway near Western Wall. I would bet a hotel concierge could get tix for you also.
Are the tunnel tours available on Saturdays?

we went on a tour that didn't have any admission charge - so you could walk through there on Shabbat - we entered through the City of David and came up near the Western Wall - so there are probably other tunnels that require... More
