Now closed Golden Gate is giving optimism waiting with prayers to the Pilgrims to be opened one day by something unexpected amongst most wonders by the will of God by second coming of Jesus resurrecting those buried.

When the end of days comes, the Messiah will come over the Mount of Olives and all those buried there will be resurrected. He will then go through the Golden Gate of the Old City. Except Ottoman ruler Suleiman the Magnificent was afraid of this...More

Suliman the Great closed it believing that Jesus couldn't enter at second coming. He was wrong! Called Eastern Gate in Bible.

This is a gate where it is the site of Jesus's entry in Jerusalem upon His return and the arab leaders in time gone by blocked the entrance so as to stop Jesus from entering the city.

One must ascend to the Temple Mount to see the gate from within. Having been blocked hundreds of years ago by the Muslims this gate is the oldest of the 8 city gates and has beautiful architecture.
