After the Holy City Tour, a Mount of Olives tour completes my Bible story. A very good guide - MATTHEW CHURCHILL- made sure we had our fill of facts on what happened in the last days of Christ on earth.

See the city through the eyes of Jesus. Walk where he walked. The view from here and the history lesson is amazing, I would definitely recommend.

I was not really impressed by the mountain of olives. It is a historic sight, but for touristic purposes other than religious, not really worth it.

If you are going there, you can take a bus or walk up the hill. Great way it going on foot. Views from the top are amazing. Lots of history of Christianity on the way up.

Stunning views of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. It is very peaceful....filled with history. Have a guide take you to provide details of what you are seeing, and understand the history of this incredible place.

Filled with history from jewish and christian bibles, this well known site is worth visiting with the help of a guide, who will tell details about the stories, churches and cemeteries around. Wonderful.

Mount Olive has a few sites. First of all a great view of the old city and Temple Mount. Beautiful during the day and amazing at night. You can also see from here the "Gate of Mercy" - the double gate of the Old City...More

Absolute amazing view over Jerusalem from the viewpoint on top of mount of olives. We would recommend to drive up to the view point and then walk down through the cemetery and along the other attractions.

There's a bus from the Damascus Gate at the Sultan Soliman bus terminus which goes up to the Church of Ascension/Mount of Olives.

Bob and I are in our late 50's and will be visiting Jerusalem for the first time in late October/early November of this year. We both have always wanted to visit the Holy Land! We were hoping to be able to renew our marriage vows somewhere in or around close to Jerusalem (Mount of Olives, or elsewhere). Bob is Jewish and I am Catholic. This might be difficult given our mixed faith situation. We did not want to do this at Cana (many seem to want this location). We have been in contact with a Messianic Rabbi who will perform a ceremony for us. Since a Church or synagogue is out of the question in Jerusalem, we were wondering about having the ceremony in a public location. Is this possible, given our situation? There would only be the Rabbi, Bob and I, and two witnesses present. Are there Holy sites where this could take place without causing disruption or controversy? We would be grateful for any information or suggestions you may have! God Bless you for your help.

Here's a suggestion: Contact the folks at The Garden Tomb and ask if it would be possible. It is a very serene peaceful location operated by a non profit group and may well be the location of Christ's burial. Look up... More
