No Jerusalem tour is complete without a visit to Mahane Yehuda Market. The colours and smells at this picturesque market are out of this world. If you can stay at night, after the shops close many restaurants put their tables out and the market evolve to one of the trendiest places in Jerusalem! Enjoy the tasting :)

A fantastic kaleidoscope of color, scents, and sounds. Almost overwhelming in the multitude of items: fruit, spices, ceramics, Judaica, souvenirs of every faith and for every taste. Bundle up if you're going during late February/early March - it's chilly, even indoors. Be prepared, the public restrooms often have no paper, so bring your own!! Highly recommend a visit to the... Wow because it is so vast, such a scene and so much fun. Yum because they let you taste. Yuk... so crowded but that is what is so much fun.... an assortment of food that is endless.

This market, with all the delicious food, sweets, fruits, vegetables, meats, flavors, dried nuts and fruits and teas, and small bars, and restaurants, and bakeries, is a place all visitors need to check out. You might want to get some heavenly tasting date and drink some fruit tea, which I totally loved.

I love going to this market! There is so much life here! A trip to Jerusalem wouldn't be the same without a stop at this authentic locals' shopping location. The sights, the sounds, the tastes, the hustle and bustle are all part of this great experience. Don't miss out!

This is a must-do in Jerusalem. It's a huge market, both indoor and outdoor, providing a range of fresh fruit and vegetables along with breads, cheeses, meats and sweets. There's also an array of eateries if the shopping all becomes too much. While always busy when open, it is particularly crazy on a Friday evening just before sabbath. The place... More

Busy, crowded and noisy... best "shuk". Unique market due to the holy city, varied people, colorful products and variations of goods.

Mahane Yehuda Market, better known as the "Shuk", is one of the most atmospheric places in the 'new' city. It is filled with fantastic food stalls; in particular, great but super pricey cheese imported from Europe at Basher on the main covered alley and a bit further on that street, great varieties of locally made Tahini and great bakery. it...
