The windswept round chapel is a 10 minute trek-walk along a rocky path down the wadi, but the views from it are well worth the effort, beware of slippery rocks. Haifa has some great wadi trails for trek enthiusiasts, this is not one of them...More

If on a pilgrimage a visit here is a must. It is very well kept by the Carmelites. And the view of Haifa is spectacular.

A monastery with a lovely chapel open to the public. A small restaurant/coffee shop o the grounds offers a respite from the hill climbing you may have to do to get there.

Small church, but interesting one. Just in front there is a monument commemorating the death of French soldiers on the siege of Akka (1799). Breathtaking wiev on Haifa and Mediterranenian Sea.

Carmelites grew out of 12th century cave dwelling religious hermit tradition. The present basilica was built in 1836. Interesting tour especially if you have any relationship to the famous Carmelite order of nuns.
