Easy to reach this top spot bird watching haven is like dropping into an African savanha. Bring a pair of binoculars, a camare and allow yourselves an hour and a half of absorbing nature and wild life. The place is well organized, accessible and entrance is free of charge. If you have bicycles - bring them. if not - rent... More

Many millions of birds migrate in the winter from Europe to Africa (and go back in the spring) and they all make a stop in this amazing area. We saw tens of thousands of Cranes in their natural habitat on their way to Kenya. A must see if you are in the Northern Galilee but note that you will see... More

This was my second visit to Agamon Hahula and am simply in love with this beautiful place. We walked around the reserve (FOR FREE) - the loop is approx 8.5km and takes about 2 hours with a few short breaks. We then made it in time for the sunset "Hidden Carriage", which is the last one (leaves at 16:00 and... More

Not to be mistaken with The Hula Nature Reserve close by. These two sights compliment each other. at the Agammon Lake Reserve tours are available to take the public right into the fields where thousands of cranes stop off as they migrate from Europe to Africa. It is an amazing sight. Other birds are also to be seen and we... More

The Agamon Hahula is located just north of the Hula Nature Preserve in the Galilee region of Israel. It is a major stopover for migrating birds both in fall and spring and has become the home of thousands of grey cranes. Entrance to the small lake is free. Many people walk around the area, while others rent bikes or golf... More

When travelling is Israel one can become overwhelmed by antiquities and religious sites. Take a trip to Agmon Hahula to commune with nature and observe all the birds. Particularly interesting, if you are travelling in the spring or fall, during the bird migration from Europe to the Great Rift valley in Africa. We saw thousands of cranes, pelicans and storks... This is separate from the Hula Nature Preserve a few miles south. We saw hundreds of birds while circling the lake in a golf cart ($49) for 45 minutes. It was a nice contrast to our focus on archeology sites.

The ideal time to visit this area is from an hour before sunset until the park closes around 90 minutes later because it is at that time that the migrating birds descend and nest for the night before setting off the next day. We rented an electric cart for the 8km+ trip around the wetland area, although on much of... More

Forget the rented bikes and golf cart (I found it the hard way). Take a stroll on the north path via the small botanic garden to the pelican lookout (Mitzpor Saknaim). You can see many birds there including thousandths of noisy cranes. That were you want to spend time and take some good pictures (bring good camera). on the opposite... More

Worthwhile to visit especially in the fall months. See loads of migrating birds at a nice (not too hot) weather. It is possible to rent bikes on site.
