It's a house that was reconstructed. The pictures aren't allowed but it's good to see and learn that history. I think 25₺ is expensive

This place is an extra 10 min drive from Ephesus through weaving mountain roads which made me a bit uneasy, but we made it nevertheless. It's a 7 min walk down a hill (the walk back up can be a bit brutal on a hot day). It's a quaint, cute place I'll give it that, but there isn't anything memorable... More

Walked here along a forest road then followed the marked hiking trail connecting the Virgin Mary shrine to the Seven Sleepers Grotto and Artemis Temple. Excellent 12 mile walk.

A nice place, even though it may not be very sound historically. However worth visiting if you are in the area. There is a special wall where you can leave a note with a wish.

An important place of pilgrimage for some people. Otherwise, feels like a tourist trap and money-making enterprise.

I want to clarify that I am not a religious person, while raised Roman Catholic and appreciate the books of all great people, I do feel especially drawn to the history of what was our Virgin Mary, our Mother for all people. I was completely in awe to be able to come to this place and must say, that I... More

St John supposedly built this house for the Virgin Mary after Jesus died. Our guide told us, in the late 1800s a Nun had stigmata and described the location of the Virgin Mary's house even though she had never been to this area. Obviously the religious significance of this location is very important and has been visited by two popes... More

Anyone who has never visited here, must take time out of their holiday to go. The Chapel in the main part of the house is beautiful & the surrounding gardens a must visit.
