If you want to have some beautiful sights, take a boat to for instance Kadiköy (Asian side) and you will love the views of the ancient city from the water. Enjoy!

Grab a fish sandwich and eat like the locals. Be daring and also order a pickled juice from the carts.

Nice views of the golden horn. Boats selling fish sandwich ,a local specialty. Rows of benches next to them with locals and tourist enjoying snacks (I avoid the fish sandwich as once had an upset stomach after eating it).

It's in the centre of the city so you will probably be around the area anyway. The pier and see very lively and fun to be at for a while. While.youre there be sure to grab a fish sandwich from one of the many stalls...More

Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the pier whilst enjoying a freshly cooked fish sandwich. Super cheap and tasty street food.

depends how long is your Lay-over... if it's the whole day, then by all means get a tour of the Bosphorus, but if only a few hours, better stay in the airport because before you arrive in the city, it will take you an hour... More

On Eminonu Pier next to boats that sells grilled fish sandwiches (next to Galata Bridge) you have a kiosk where you can buy tickets for 12TL (for adults) - it is 1,5hr long Bosphorus tour - very convenient and cheap. You... More
