Tuncer Gift Shop is located in Sultanahmet since 2000s. At the beginning, we started working just on the street and just with one person who is our founder. After a while we expanded our job and we opened first showroom in 2008. When we came to 2012, we have five showrooms in Istanbul and nearly 15 team members. We believe that customers are special; so we made each showroom special by itself. We have two showrooms for ceramics, one shop for special home textile and carpets and one showroom is just for selling jewellery. Our products are also special only for our showrooms and you cannot find the same product in any other shops.

The shop was just afew meters from our hotel. This is a dalightfull shop selling lovely Turkish shoes, traditional clothes, ceramics and jewellary. My teenage daugher and I visited the shop every day for the one week we were in Istanbul and ended up by doing most of our shopping from here basically because of Janaan the lady incharge of the... This is my favourite gift shop in Istanbul. They carry all the lovely things you could possibly think of, from teapots to lamps and jewellery. The service from the staff is outstanding. Canan who looks after the jewellery shop (they have 3 shops on the same street, Taya Hatun) is a delight to deal with. She is friendly, polite and... More

Tuncer gift shop is a huge shop with almost everything available. They have very quality items with lots of different varieties in terms of designs, colours and sizes. Compared to Grand Bazar and some other places, their prices were much more reasonable. Not only did they bubble wrapped all my items but also provided free bags which could easily be... More

I visited Tuncer Gift Shop based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. I wasn't disappointed. The variety of items that they had was amazing and everything was of a high quality too. I was in the market for a tile panel. I had looked around the Grand Bazaar but didn't find anything. The number of gorgeous choices made it really... More

Friendly and attentive, good selections and good advice too. They have nice collections of Turkish lamps, ceramics stuff, fabrics as well as small Turkish souvenir items. Located at a less busy/chaotic side of Old Town, near Guhane Park. A minute away from Tram station, nearby Doubltree by Hilton Sirkeci.

I first visited these shops in 2015 on our first visit to Istanbul. We stay at the Sirkechi Hotel, which is on a short block across from Gulhane Gardens. After we arrived this year I went window shopping and was immediately welcomed by the shopkeeper who clearly remembered me from the previous year. Quite surprising. Istanbul was jam-packed with tourists... More

Just about a yr ago we found this delightful shop. We felt comfortable and safe from being taken advantage of. We were on a limited budget and we never felt we weren't good enough.. We were encouraged to take our chosen lights as hand luggage to keep our costs down and today we finally got our lights hung.. We are... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
