A tad expensive but worth a visit. The tower is not too tall so the view does not seem as its from an aeroplane. Do go early before the rush starts if going with young children. We enjoyed a cup of coffee and the kids...More

Galata is my favorite site in Istanbul. Enormous and beautiful from both outside and inside. There's also a helicopter tour inside the tower, take it, you'll enjoy. Ticket for Galata is 20TL, for helicopter 10TL. Don't buy souvenirs from inside shop, you'll find better ones...More

A nice view in Boglyü can be had many places and climbing steep streets is a given, so why go up that silly tower?

You should visit this tower day time and in the evening before it closes at 8:30. The tower itself is beautiful, but the vista it offers on top will leave you breathless. You should visit it. Evening visit gives beautiful sunset opportunities.

Came here as it was 5 minutes from the apartment thinking it would just be a look out but it was actually interesting and informative and there was a 3d flight simulator of the city inside the tower as well which was great to see...More

Galata tower is a great place to visit for newcomers to the city, it has an amazing view, especially close to sunset, but the line will be much longer then. Go during the week for a shorter line, and not suggested for older people, or...More

Best place to overlook the beautiful city and the surrounding water. You see all the bridges and moseques and the view is breathtaking. Must go

Really hidden in narrow streets! Watch out for street vendors, they tried to shoe-shine my sneakers for $10 each sneaker! Though really beautiful, do expect very long lines. There are cafes all around so you can take your time. I'd suggest you get up here...More

There is an elevator so no need to climb the stairs all the way to the top. Amazing city views and worth the wait in the line.

Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal
Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night
and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights,
shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of
people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive
Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of
the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned
restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening

There is a cafe and also there is a Restaurant. I believe you will not be requiring a reservation prior as most of the time its empty. But in case you can inquire at the reception at the bottom of Galata

Was around 20TL. We did not go up, but it could be nice nighttime to see the other part of Istanbul, the old city with the mosques.
