Neighbourhood: Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

Incredible architecture. Building is this old and still looks amazing. The moment you walked in you can feel the energy of the centuries. Definitely a must visit place.

Sep 2021
read a lot about it history before entering, there is no information inside about its history so better to read a bit before entering, there was no access to the second floor, i missed the hall where there is coffins because of lack of information where it's located so better to ask about it, also it might be strange but thee was no tickets! so it was a free visit and you can pray if you want to :)

Mesmerizing Monument!
Nov 2021 • Couples
The Hagia Sofia is a mesmerizing church now turned into a Mosque. The outside looks ordinary but once inside, it is stunning. It is huge with lovely interiors, elegant chandeliers & an intricately carved dome. One has to remove their footwear before entering the Mosque & the men & women are separated. Pics are allowed inside. One of Istanbul's most iconic monument.

Magnificent Hagia Sophia Mosque
Sep 2021
This is one of the most amazing placing I have visited. Hagia Sophia Mosque dates back to 500 AC. First built to be a church then turned into a mosque. For my the architecture, the vibes just makes this place such a wonderful visit in Istanbul.

Very poor service for 44 euros. We do not recommend!
Nov 2021 • Couples
Worst experience ever! Do not purchase guided tours from here. We did book a combo ticket for Hagia Sofia, basilica cistern and top kapi. The cistern was closed for renovation but this so important information was nowhere mentioned when we booked the tickets. They took us instead to the cisterns of philoxenos (where there’s really nothing to see)The guide in top kapi was so bored, he told us a few things about the monument for 10 minutes and then told us to see for ourselves the several exhibits. And he was annoyed each time we stopped for a sec to take a picture. Lastly, for the tour in Hagia Sofia. We were late for 8 minutes and despite the fact that we called the guide and ask him to wait for us he simply did not. Overall, we were not at all happy with the service provided. Really poor for 44 euros each (note: the entrance at Hagia Sofia and all the mosques is free).

Amazing historical site
Nov 2021
My husband and I were impressed by this ancient building and its history! It wasn't too busy when we visited on a Friday morning. We just walked around but it could have been interesting to hire a tour guide to learn a little bit more!

Breathtaking

The mosque was converted from a Christian church. The history and interiors are breathtaking. Totally worth to spend an hour inside.
