Most impressive by achitecture and design. However to consider that this is a rebuild replica of a long time ago destroyed building. amazing!

This is nothing spectacular. Just another Mosque in Tashkent. The thing is most of these monuments are not far from each other and can be covered in a couple of hours.

The mosque has good architecutral design and is well laid out in the surrounding green area. The design was quite pleasing to the eyes.

The mosque houses the old Uthman Qoran, a national trasure of Uzbekistan. The museum houses other illustrated bookd and qorans, some of them presents given to the President of Uzbekistan by foreign leaders.

Well worth a visit. This was our second sight visited after the earthquake memorial and it has several buildings of interest in the immediate vicinity. You'll probably need a taxi ride to get to it to avoid a long walk in the Uzbek summer heat....More
