Seeing this house is a great treat. If you go, you know that Bawa was perhaps Sri Lanka's leading architect during his lifetime. Like Frank Lloyd Wright in the U.S. or Luis Barragan in Mexico. Walking through his house brought to mind tours of taken...More

The beautifully designed house by Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa is certainly worth a look. It is so cleverly laid out to catch the breezes and maintains a lightness about it in every room. The thoughtful placement of objects and the artefacts there are lovely.
