We've spent a night there on the lookout for Przewalski Horses (which we managed to spot). I've first thought the park and Get camp are a bit too touristic, but only later found out that the park needs to generate 100% of its funding itself....More

Due to limited time, we did not manage to travel around the Park. However, we manage to catch some of the wild horses from a distance away. Vehicles need to stop at designated parking area, head further by foot. Was told that the best time...More

Out of all the places I visited in Mongolia this was by far the least interesting one. The whole park is built around being the only place having Przewalki's horses and that's about it. You can drive around a bit here and see the horses...More

There is a large Gerr setup with lots of interesting info about the Przewalski's horse or Takahe (Takh) horses. Functionally extinct in Mongolia at one stage their successful reintroduction to this national park is an awesome story and I got to stay with one of...More

We visited Hustaii for 2 nights and stayed at the Park’s tourist Ger Camp (fantastic, I’ll come back to that!). We got dropped there & picked up (organised through Zaya Hostel in Ulaanbaatar, US$60 for 3 people) so we didn’t have a guide in the...More

Very interesting story of how Przewalski's were reintroduced to Mongolia. Bring your binoculars as you will need them to see the horses!

We were so lucky arriving in the Hustai National Park as evening was closing in. What an ideal time to see the horses come down to drink from the river. When we arrived there were two family groupings with foals at the river. While we...More

Join a tour or organize private transportation with a driver and plan on staying for a few hours upon arrival. Portion of the road into the park is not paved and very bumpy and only an experienced driver knows which lane to drive on and...More

Agree with other answers, you can see the park in one day and clearly, it is hit or miss with horses and wildlife. I would worry about getting a late start back to UB. I don't consider the roads safe during the day and at... More
