It is good to hear the wild horses story and happy that the horses are back in nature. The national park authorities do a good job. There are not only wild horses but also many deer and gazelles. The place is only 2 hours drive...More
Wonderful experience here in winter they recharge your fire to keep you warm well worth the stay and great surroundings and plenty to do the takhi horses are great.Well worth a stay not to far from Ulaanbaatar.
We stayed outside the park in one of the tourist camps. Went in a few hours before sunset. In the end we saw a big herd of deer, we heard wolves but didn't get to see them and got very close to a group of...More
splendid national park and the privilege of seeing some of the planet´s only wild horses. the quality of the accommodations, the dining room and cleanliness of shared bathrooms all impressed, as well as the warmth and helpfulness of staff.
The Hustai National Park is definitely worth a visit if you apreciate nature and wild animals! The park is less than two hours car drive west of Ulaanbaatar, and you can over-night in the park's tourist ger camp just at the entrance of the park...More
Wonderful to see this breed of horse up close and teh wonderful work the park is carrying out. Basic ger camp but very comfortable and plenty of staff to come in and light up your warming fire at 6 pm and 5 am each day

Agree with other answers, you can see the park in one day and clearly, it is hit or miss with horses and wildlife. I would worry about getting a late start back to UB. I don't consider the roads safe during the day and at night, impossible. Have a nice meal and stay in a Ger and travel back early the next morning after breakfast. I would check and see what is open if out of season but local guides and tour companies could help.
