The monument is pretty much in the middle of phnom penh and was around the corner of our hotel. It looks nice especialy lit up at night.

I was driven by it and thought it was beautiful, but I did not stop to see it being in the middle of a turnabout. Celebrates independence from France or at least that is what showed when my local friend used Google translate

Centrally located and well lit at night, shows the dates and other information of the terrible Khmer rouge rein

Take a walk around the square , at night or day, it's beautiful! Many people walk or jog along here throughout the day

A nice part with a lot of locals either running, playing or just sitting on the grass talking with friends! The monument is nice specially when is dark!

Worth coming to see in the day - although often swarmed over by buses of tour groups, but it is very pretty at night when it is all lit up

Its a monument in the middle of a roundabout. Either take a look from your tuk tuk as you drive around or get out to take a photo.......simples 👍

The monument stays in the middle of roundabout, so you can not come near. It looks very simple, but nice.
