Don't be shy to negotiate. Remember to smile and be kind when your price is not accepted. Try to check out the wet market in the back and food center in the back for a true open market visit.

If you're looking for loads of stalls all selling the same thing, with the same sales pitch, this place is for you. You may find some gems, but you'll have to trawl through a load of tat to do so.

Nought here you haven't seen all over the globe, but a great optometrist who churned out several pairs of prescription specs for my partner and friends; all within 24 hours. Perfectly calibrated and nice frames - all for half the price you'd pay at home....More

Managed to forget my dress shirts while packing. Made it down to central market where they have everything swap meet style. So it gets a little hot and some of the touts are a nuisance but they are everywhere in general. Gotta do the haggle...More

Hi If I were going to Cambodia for three nights I would definately spend all my time in Siem reap. The attractions of the temples and countryside are so good that it is easy to spend time exploring near by. Try to get to a... More
