When we arrived by a private hired car you are flooded immediately with beggars and won't leave you alone they peek inside the car, try to open the doors etc. When we went inside the ruins more beggars. The buildings are okay but even for a $1 entry it is not worth it. Another couple that were there weren't harassed... More

We decided to go to Tonle Bati and Phnom Chiso after exhausting what PP had to offer. After about one hour in our taxi, our driver dropped us right in front of the temple at Tonle Bati. We were not yet even outside of the car that we had already several flower girls and other young children trying to sell... More

In years past I would recommend Tonle Bati to those who would not be able to visit Angkor Wat region. It provides an opportunity to visit an ancient site on an afternoon excursion from Phnom Penh. More difficult to recommend these days as the vendors have reached a level of aggressiveness sufficient to ruin the ruin experience. Gird up your... More

All the ancient temple ruins are a must if you are in Cambodia but Angkor Wat beats everything anywhere in the world. Must go there for sunrise when the views are magnificent.

So you can go here only of you have the time and have already seen everything that is close by. I did the mistake of taking a Tuk tuk all the way to this place and the zoo, that was a mistake cause not only is that slower and longer to get there the dust on the way will just... More

I read comments on TA and was very cautious when visiting there. Its actually a detour from my visit to the wildlife centre so I just stopped by quickly. Agree with some other travellers who said it made you feel unsafe there. Once you get off from Tuk Tuk, you were approached by flower girls. They tell you it's free... More

Alongside with the temple at Mount Chisor, we drop by this temple here as well. It has very similar concept as the ones at Angkor Wat. Each build piece by piece by the boulders. However, upon arriving there was a girl who came up to me to offer me a free flower to pay respect. So I did. After that... More

This place is located about an hour away from Phnom Penh by cab. Worth to take a trip here for the view and experience and as well as the structure.

Fairly well preserved in sections, including interesting carvings and statues. Amazing place in the middle of nowhere, about 45 mins to 1 hours drive from Phnom Penh, fully worth a visit. Little girls will pester you for money, sales etc.

A great getaway from the busy Phnom Penh City Life with beautiful and ancient historical temple. If you do not mind the quality of the water, you can take a dip by the river and enjoy some local Khmer cuisine. I love it to the core.
