Interesting to walk along and watch families and couples doing the same in the evening. There is also a large exercise group and it was interesting to watch the tiny house boats on the river. It is a bit tricky crossing the street to get over to the promenade because of all the traffic. You have to brave and just... More

Alot of expats go here cuz there are alot of western bars and restaurants. Some are NGO-run, e.g. Daughters of Cambodia. Good dining experience for good causes and with good views.

Sisowath Quay runs along the banks of the Mekong River in front of the Royal Palace in the heart of Phnom Penh. The Mekong is longest river in Southeast Asia and the 12th longest on word. The mighty Mekong River runs some 2700 miles from the Tibetan Plateau to the southeast, then through Laos and Thailand to the equatorial flood... More

This is one place where you can catch the sun rise while you have a morning run. Nice flat path along the river bank.

Came here during the last day in phnom penh. A relaxing walk along the riverside of tonle sap river merging with mekong river. Come at least one time to experience the ambience in front of the royal palace.

The reason we chose our hotel was because I wanted it near to a river. And this one caught my eye when we got to the city. Well, every city has its own place where people can take some time alone, reflect, and appreciate their surroundings. I came here on the afternoon and saw scenes like other tourists walking, family... More

This is always a popular walk day or night whilst you will see many people just strolling along and some even exercising during the early evening such a great place to sit and relax then go for a night cap drink ...

Sisowath Quay might be a pleasant stroll during daylight hours but everything changes after dusk. Dozens of pathetic old foreign men with barely legal girls in tow are a sad sight, as are resident expats haunting the bars who seem permanently angry about all the tourists on 'their patch'. Motorbikes continually block your access and you're forced to run the... More
