The Flicks Community Movie Houses are the really unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes.

The Flicks are the ONLY legit movie houses in town also, fully approved by the Ministry of Culture and the Cambodian Department of Cinema.

The Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary movie house from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 30 people.

The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 20 seats movie room.

The Flicks 3 is the latest 30-seats venue on Street 258, which also features a restaurant and guesthouse.

Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 Per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn!

We've been in flicks 3 which is quite new but is near the kings palace and includes a restaurant with normal prices and a pool table as well. They show movies 3 times a day in a 40 m2 room with a/c and a 3x5 m screen. Sound is good and you can sit/ly on sofas or huge pillows. You... More

I was stuck for things to do so I decided to check out Flicks. Flicks 2 was a short walk from my hostel and I turned up just before the first movie was about to begin (Mad Max). You pay just $3.50 which gives you access to all the movies playing in that theatre during the course of the day.... More

Spent an afternoon there, watching all 3 movies showing. The room was comfy, with AC, and we had it all to ourselves woohoo! ''The Killing Fields'' was interesting and the staff were helpful. Would recommend!

We haven't been here sleeping as they had just the "bunker" for real budget travelers available. But we stayed close by and went here often to eat. Flicks 3! there is a girl working usually in the morning hours and she has the best music taste (in my oppinion) so if you like some alternative triphop choose here your breakfast... More

While it is no longer the only place in town to see English-language movies, the Flicks is still the best place to see them. Like seeing a movie in your own private theatre, the Flicks is cozy, friendly, and comfortable. Buy a beer and popcorn and take it in with you, lounge on the cushions, and best of all, watch... Good movies, great atmosphere, you can watch films lying on big mattresses. And it's cheap!! Your ticket actually gives access for the full day so you can watch several movies if you want. Food can be ordered and is brought inside.

Took my teen daughter to see a movie at Flicks#1. We loved it. No real seating -- just comfy mattresses/pillows on the floor. Movie was fine -- no audio/visual probs. Nice staff. We'll go back!

I had great fun at the flicks. Your ticket for the day costs $3.50, I watched 2 movies with this but there was the option to watch 3! With your ticket you also get a free beer which makes it amazingly good value. I ordered some popcorn ($2.50) and couldn't believe how massive the portion was! The setup in the... More

I have to add a little extra information here. Please know we don't give free drinks with the cover charge at The Flicks 2. It is the Rooftop Bar of the next door hostel that (regularly, not always) gives a voucher for a free drink at their rooftop bar for visitors of The Flicks 2. It's their present to our... More

I went to Flicks 2, situated inside/as part of a hostel. The popcorn and drinks were a little expensive and the floor walking into the movie room was wet as it was beside the hostel toilets. It killed a few hours for me and the staff were nice but would try flicks 1&3 before going to 2 again.
