Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting this park regularly for daily walk and run. Nice and safe place even at night. Lake needs to be cleaned. Park also needs to be maintained properly.

Ramna park is probably the best place to hangout with friends and family, with Bailey Road so nearby.

Ramna Park is a large park and recreation area situated at the heart of Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. This park is one of the most beautiful areas in Dhaka with lots of trees and a lake near its center.

well, usually I go there on the bengali the new year celebration but this was the first time i went there at night because my friend insisted. There were enough security but still i felt uncomfortable as there were people of different or different intentions moving around. I came to know there are some restricted areas after evening where 'normal' people are not allowed to walk. As the night goes darker, you can also notice some sex-workers sitting or walking around the bushes or the places where there is not enough light. That may also create a disturbing situation for you. But if you sit on the benches under those big lights.you'll not face any problems, rather you can have some peaceful time leaving behind all the stress you have been throughout the day.

Ramna Park is the oldest park in Dhaka city, the largest green landscape gardens which are adjacent to Kakrail masjid, Supreme court, and Shahbagh. There are five access point to enter the park with free of cost. This park featuring green landscape with old trees, banyans, bushes, lakes, ponds, shrubs, orchids, flowers, medicinal herbs. This is the perfect place for any ages people to do any sort of recreational activities like morning walk, work out, bird watching, photography, gossiping, passing quality time with their dearest one. A portion of the park is being used for children amusement. At morning health-conscious people get together for their group exercise. Old ages people do their ritual morning walk in the early morning. There are enough sitting benches there where people can pass their free time with their dearest one. Exhibitions and programmes are held around the year particularly in special days like "Pohela Boisakh".
The park is very neat and clean, however, a number of benches are unable to use due to birds poop. Benches are not occupied does not mean it is suitable for sit. So one must ensure that benches are enough clean and free from birds poop to sit on the benches. Some children sell flowers, water, chocolates, and some needy people cry for some money. Some people take their sleep on the park benches. These are common scenery of Raman Park which may seem awkward scenery for a foreigner.
Security: Security guards are employed around the park to maintain safety and security of the park and coming visitors. However, it is recommended to avoid any solitary place at the Raman Park.
Best time: Early morning or Evening. Try to avoid any special day if you want to enjoy the natural beauty and spend some quality time.

Ramna Park is basically a park open for all and no tickets are needed for entry. Its quite large with lake. It is Famous for Bengali New Year Celebration (14th April). At a place of this park called "Ramna Botomul" people get together early in the morning, basically at dawn and welcome new year by singing song "Esho He Boisakh" / Welcome Boisakh (First Month of the year). After that rally takes place. Hundreds of thousands of people join the rally. By 10 am it seems that the gathering has crossed millions.

Best if you want to find touch of nature and want to hide yourself from crowds. Local use this park for morning and evening walk. But stay away from park shop. If you come out from the park you will see big flowers market, where they only sell flowers.
