The fire is burning 4000 years and if you are curious you could visit the place but there is no information about the place and they didnt take care of it as a proper historical place.

Beautiful place specifically during dark nights! We visited this mountain when a taxi driver offered to take us on our way back to hotel late in the evening. So, we were the only visitors of the fire mountain. Worth visiting.

While it's interesting to see the fire that results from an ignited gas bubble close to the surface, the place offers very little explanation or some historic background.

We were taken there after dark, and once we had got past a rather grumpy lady at the entrance it was more than worth the trip out of central Baku. Gentle but persistent flames, blue, yellow and orange, that they say are not put out...More

The easiest way is renting a private car , taxi by 25 $ for 4-5 people.
