It's a bit off the beaten path, but the Homeland Initiative store is well worth a visit. Lot's of adorable handmade items to take back as gifts or keep for yourself. The shop is small so you can easily browse everything in 20 minutes.

This is one of the best if not the best place in Yerevan to shop for Armenian made products. The quality is excellent and the products all useful (not just souvenirs). In addition you will be contributing to the development of the vulnerable Armenian provinces.

This is the official store of the Homeland Development Initiative, selling gifts and other “tourist” items that are fair trade. You can of course buy goods that are cheaper at vernissage (markets behind republic square) but at Homeland you know the people who made what...More

HDIF sources its products in the regions of Armenia, bring jobs to where they are needed. Something of high quality in the shop for everybody - kids, kitchen, home, him, her! The only fair trade shop in Armenia, and the entire former Soviet Union!
