Interesting side activity after visiting mausoleum
Feb 2020 • Couples
If you are taking the time to visit the beautiful areas around Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, then the museum should be on your list of stops. Though it is a very hard museum to follow. No order in the exhibits, everything is just thrown around and little to no explanation. The gift shop however is very well put together.

Great and does honor to a great man

It took us a long time to visit this, but since we stayed in phu cam it was on our way this time. We had seen several ho chi Minh museum including of course hanoi, but we agreed this one was a very good one. Sadly enough only few people seem to know it. Ho chi minh stayed in Hue several years so everywhere there are links everywherethisboutstanding leader and great man.The exhibits gave an excellent impression of him and his times. A great must see for all vietnam fans. We will be back there.soon!

Well Done Museum
Jan 2018
Excellent museum highlighting the life and accomplishments of Ho Chi Minh, we spend severl hours here. I especially liked the absence of propaganda regarding the French and American wars; the museum just concentrates on the Man and his life.

Informative
Mar 2017 • Couples
This is an socialist two floor building in which is shown the early life of Uncle Ho since when his father got a scholarship to study in Hue and took the whole family with him. Good step I must say.

If you don't know nothing about his personality it will be interesting to you to take a look for not more than an hour.

Bit strange
Mar 2017 • Couples
Odd concept for a museum that is essentially a collection of photos about 'uncle ho'. Very simple, one sided view. Appears to now be an admission fee of 10,000 dong per person.

Some historical items on display
Nov 2016 • Friends
For history buffs, you will enjoy seeing everyday items used by Ho Chi Minh including his bunker, meeting rooms, bedroom, etc. The gardens are quite beautiful and well maintained.

Okay

This is a photographic account of Ho's life. Lack of English text meant that I failed to see the point of most of the conversations in Vietnamese.

An interesting museum
Nov 2016 • Couples
The Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue is open from 07 to 11 in the morning and from 1.30 to 4 in the afternoon. Entrance is free. The main exhibition is located on the first floor. Red arrows on the floor point you in the right direction.

There are many old photos and documents. There is a caption for every item. The captions are in three languages: Vietnamese, French and English. The exhibition on the first floor covers Ho Chi Minh's life. The exhibition on the ground floor covers the time since his death in 1969.

You are allowed to take photos. Unfortunately, many items are placed behind glass and this means that it is difficult to take a good picture of them.

[Please notice: one photo posted on this page shows the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi and one photo posted here shows the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi. It seems some people are rather careless when posting. Why does TripAdvisor approve photos when it is clear that they are submitted to the wrong page?]

Bit limited but not bad
Jul 2016 • Family
Quite interesting, especially for persons over a certain age with strong recollections of the Vietnam wars in the 50s and 60s. Assuredly one comes away with a strong sense of a remarkable man (Ho Chi Min) and, in many ways, an impressively simple one. There is, however, a certain monotony in the rather limited number of artifacts on display. It is some years since I was in Hanoi, but my recollection is that the museum there was substantially more fulsome and impressive - which is, perhaps, unsurprising.
