Many different things is to be seen here. There is three separate houses and you will also find a cafe outside the buildings.

- due to construction, it’s a maze to get there to begin with - beautiful exterior but it seems no maintenance e.g. chipped stairs, has been done - No information in form of information in the provided pamphlet , order of painting, what each level...More

Although the art as well as the building is beautiful, the exhibitions simply don't work. There is no personality to this galary, no information on the artists and not particularly interested staff. Lots of utility rooms open, spoils the experience. Building needs renovation.

It's a pretty big place, I did not have the time to see all, but the art pieces were very interesting as they represent the culture and history of vietnam from the past til present. My favourite were the past pieces as they were like...More

It's very nice but bring a "fan" because its hot in there. A grand dame of a building, the staircase looks just like the Titanic. The paintings by Nguyen Gia Tri are exceptional. Worth a visit.

This museum could use staff that really care about keeping it clean and dusting the artifacts once in a while. The first building is full of modern artworks (before 1975; after 1975) and worth seeing. The second and third buildings contain older artifacts that are...More

This museum consists of 3 buildings and everything from very old art to very new and contemporary art. Items from many places in Asia. A very nice place to relax and slow down and just enjoy the quality of the Art.

The exhibits were principally modern art and mainly from local artists. there were virtually no historical art from Vietnam despite the directions in the Gallery. Honestly not worth the visit unless you want to see post 1975 Modern Vietnam artists

First: I hated Ho Chi Minh City and counted the days (we were there six) before we got to delightful Hoi An. Couldn't breathe, couldn't cross the street, witnessed one real traffic accident and 999 near-misses. Give it a miss, is my advice. HOWEVER, this...More

It's a creaky old French Colonial style manor house. Lots of Vietnamese art by Vietnamese artists. Lots of the paintings done in the 60's and 70's remind you of what happened here. Really interesting place to walk around. Curation and lighting could be improved

I think John P is correct: I remember that the museum closes for one hour around lunch time. In case you are there at that time, there are pleasant restaurants close by, from the simple but tasty food stalls inside Ben Thanh... More
