On two levels and encompasses many aspects of Vietnam history - interesting displays and revolutionary information. Not just about the war. Outside displays as well. Covers early history, Cu Chi tunnels, actual weapons and relics.

Interesting museum but not very well presented and a bit dusty! The Water Puppet show was very well done.

Not that well presented but some interesting exhibits, if you're at the zoo then this is well worth a look, nice and cheap entry and well priced souvenirs inside

Located at the intersection of Le Duan Street and Nguyen Binh Khiem (just inside the zoo gates). Museum has Vietnamese antiquities. Essential to read up on Vietnamese history first to understand the exhibits. Outside, the Botanical Gardens are ideal for good cheap lunch. There is a good water puppet show in the museum compound every hour between 0900-1200 hrs and... More

This is a good visit if you have been in HCM a while and want to wander through a timeline of Vietnamese history. Some nice pieces, probably need to be returned to their rightful owners... But anyhow... Recommended for a visit.

Reproductions of actual objects - pretty lame. But it is Vietnam, and I didn't have high expectations going in.... It's really cheap for entry, so why not check it out?

The museum is located near to the zoo/botanical gardens, so if you are over that way I'd recommend a quick look round - it only takes about an hours and costs 15,000 VND. The museum is organised chronologically from ancient times up until the more recent history and houses a number of artifacts. Some of the ceramics and antiquities are... More

Organised in historical periods from the Stone Age onwards, there were lots of interesting artefacts on display. I especially liked the collections of blue and white pottery . Wish I'd paid the extra fee ( about £1 )allowing me to take pictures of them but hadn't realised I needed to to until the security guard told me. All display rooms... More
