    Must Visit on Walking Street
Stunning Architecture in the middle of bustling walking street. Perfect views for photos and enormous statue of Ho Chi Minh situated in the plaza. The infamous Caravelle Hotel and the site of last chopper evacuation are near by.

Calm and green space in middle of chaos.
Really nice at night, especially when they close to traffic and you can wander around. Lovely gardens and the fountain lights up and changes colour which is quite nice. Very relaxing green space in the middle of chaos! Undle Ho's statue is there also and the committee building behind looks so nice all lit up. Really nice area to walk around.

    Beautiful all day
Beautiful both during the day and night. It is busy on weekends when the street is closed to traffic and it becomes pedestrian friendly. On weekends, there's a huge crowd of both local and tourist out and about in the evening/night. Simply take a stroll and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and enjoy some music by really talented buskers.

    Famous landmark
Maybe you should swot up on the local history before you visit. It is a place of great importance for Vietnam and its past. Lots of restaurants nearby and just 300 meters from the theatre where the AO show incase you want to combine the visit.

Hotel de Vile AKA City Hall is the star not the square
Daytime is too hot except for maddogs and Englishmen, and not nearly as pretty because the everpresent haze. The lights add to the beauty. Rex rooftop definitely worth a drink too, all the ultra highend shopping outlets will appeal to 1%ers and PRCs I suppose, but the reason to linger is to admire one of the World's most beautiful buildings. So beautiful that Walt Disney copied it, while dummying it down, for Main Street USA entrance.

recommend visiting the city hall / hcm statue both day and night for different ambience. this square is surrounded by high end retailers and the fancy rex hotel. other nearby buildings include saigon center and opera house. you can then continue your walk towards dong koi street and nguyen hue pedestrian street, terminating at the saigon river waterfront

Memorable New Year 2024 on HCM Square
The former Hotel de Ville (French City Hall), built in classic French style in early 20c is one of the most notable buildings in all HCMC. Today, it houses the People's Committee of United Socialist Vietnam. In front of it is a larger than life monument to Father of the Nation - Ho Chi Minh, upon whom the entire square bears its name, as well the city of Saigon - now HCMC. We've visited this central square several times, but most memorable was on New Year's Eve when we celebrated with hundreds of thousands of locals. Around the square are numerous high end fashion stores, luxurious hotels, plenty of restaurants and a pedestrian promenade leading down to Saigon river.

A lovely long square, that is clean, and pedestrian friendly, no scooters are allowed, it is set in a lovely area quite posh, with lots of high end stores, cafes and accom. Not to be missed during a visit of this amazing city.

This is perhaps the heart of Saigon where tourists would definitely go to. Little green space in hectic HCMC, flanked by upmarket designer western brands.

Located at the top of the Nguyen Hue walking avenue, the building is very interesting in it's architectural features. Overlooking the courtyards in front, a grand atmosphere.
