The revamped area is a great place to experience the local families enjoying themselves. Young and old are hanging out together, soaking up the impromptu events, dancing, singing, busking, watching the fountains. Especially good on Sunday evenings, when the traffic is stopped on the adjacent street, and 1/2 of Saigon seem to be there. I have never seen any drunkeness... More

On our first trip we randomly ended up here, however on our second attempt we spent a bit more time here. Great photo opportunities with the city hall and water features. Its a peaceful change as scooters/bikes/cars are not allowed through this part. (McDonald's is also located here)

Lovely place for a photo op with the City Hall at the back, HCM statue and square in front. We visited during the day and at night as well when the coloured shooting lights come on. Didnt like the Pikachu and other cartoon characters dressed up walking around at night but great for kids i suppose. Great place to chill... More

Well worth the walk along the street of the square. Although busy with bikes and cars, great to mingle with the locals as they go about their business. you get to see a variety of shops along the way and no shortage of food places such as McDonalds and numerous coffee shops.

Ho Chi Ming Square is ideal for photo-taking in the morning, but when night falls, the street becomes very lively with many roadside stalls, street performances and many locals and tourists love being there! Here you can get a good feel of Vietnam night life. There are also many good cafes nearby so you will never run out of options... More

The building looks beautiful especially at night and that is the best time to take a photo. There also a statue of the namesake located in front of the building. Its a good place to enjoy the historical scenery and enjoy a cup of coffee at nearby Starbucks.

Street was very happening late until midnight. Many road shows and street dancing. Lots of small cafes around and neatly laid gardens. Fun place.
