I love museums and can spend hours reading each plaque, but this museum was disappointing because there was not much context or explanation. There didn’t seem to be a logical sequence of rooms, nor was there a clear explanation of what you were looking at....More

We visited first thing in morning, absolutely full of school children. Could have done with an audio set as there was not much in english. Great photos and a good history lesson. The museum is right on the river, great views of the city.

Ho Chi Minh is a hard city to find history in. The people there are not much interested in preserving it and so much has already been lost to the wrecking ball. As a huge fan of history museums, this one is a bit disappointing....More

The tanks in the grounds are interesting, but there's really not a lot else to see. Very tired looking museum, not much explanation of the different exhibits, cheap but better places to visit in HCMC, not bad to kill 30-60 mins but don't go out...More

In the haste to get to the zoo and Botanical gardens one can miss this nice museum with excellent items reflecting the life and history of the country of Vietnam.

Small but interesting museum explaining how HCMC started to develop itself. Then entrance is 30 000 VND per pers.
