A uniquely Vietnamese experience, which I recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam. The show is very well done and enjoyable. The people handling the puppets from behind the curtain are very talented.

We experienced this Water Puppet Show & laughed our heads off. It was all in Vietnamese but it was great & still easy enough to follow – the puppets, music & vocals kept us smiling. As we travelled through Vietnam we have seen a lot...More

It is difficult to find something that is unique in the world. The band are really into the show and whilst the whole thing is in vietnamese it is easy to follow and quite entertaining. It doesn't, t go on long enough to get boring

Fantastic music, great scenery but spoilt by people videoing using their mobile phones restricting the view which spoilt the experience, such a shame so much skill and hard work by all the puppeteers The people who arrange the show really need to think about banning...More

The Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater show was a unique experience and typical of Vietnamese culture. It is a small theater and there are two shows every evening-at 5pm and 6.30pm lasting 45 mins. There is no need to prebook tickets though one can do...More

This theatre was about a 5 min walk from our hotel so we decided to check it out one night. Despite not being able to understand the language, I absolutely loved the theatrics, the singing and can broadly follow the storyline (broken into 16 segments)....More

If you only do one thing in Saigon, definitely see this puppet show it shows the history in a fun and artistic way. The Air conditioner is also very good. An interesting show which is entertaining.

Fun to watch. Great costuming and story telling unfolds with large puppets on the water. Music was great, too. Get there a little early for a really good seat.

My wife and I saw this water puppet show in the evening on our fourth day in Ho Chi Min. The show, which lasted about 50 minutes, had 16 different stories, and everything was done all in Vietnamese. So we couldn't really understand most of...More

I've seen a lot of puppet shows but never a water puppet show. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip. You feel like a little kid again watching these puppets in action.

In my case I walked there and luckily I was on time for the show at 5pm. So I bought at the ticket counter VD200k. As per brochure: show time 5pm 6.30pm and 7.45pm (daytime performances according to your agreement). I think... More

Lasts maybe a bit less than an hour. Probably cheap enough that you could leave early if the child gets bored. About $US7 or £UK5. Enjoy if you go, try and get seats near the front for best view.
