Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As a tourist, I would not recommend making any trips to this venue. It should not even be listed as a tourist attraction as they are not open to tourists. My family witnessed the security guard shouting at another tourist when the tourist was walking towards the hall. The people are unfriendly and behave extremely arrogantly.

As a believer in Christ, I would strongly advice you to avoid this "place of worship". When I sat in for mass, everyone was grouchy and unfriendly. There was also a Eucharist session and the priest even rejected some other believers I witnessed who went up. The priest didn't explain the reasons and brushed some believers away. As a believer, I don't believe that any one person can haphazardly determine whether one is a "holy" person or not in this manner and with the culture I witnessed first-hand at Tan Dinh church, I would conclude that this church is rather unlike most churches I've visited globally and I witnessed how they are hostile to visitors/tourists, and it would be detrimental for believers seeking to build their faith.

All in all, they are hostile to visiting believers and tourists alike. Its not a place of community and faith for its believers and its certainly not a place for tourism. The only selling point for this "attraction" is simply the choice of its paint colour. And the only part of the "church" that you are welcome to is its donation box. To call this a church and a tourist attraction would be a misrepresentation.

Unfortunately as they were doing some light repairs (I think) I couldn't venture inside the Church, but got to have a nice walk around the grounds.

A nice looking church, perhaps not as pink as expected, me thinks people overdose on the filters for their camera shots, but still an interesting sight in the centre of the city.

You have to know that most or all Catholic Churches are closed except for prayer services, ie, the Mass. Go on line to find out when.
So get there five minutes early and remember to leave soon after. Walking around during prayer times and talking the likes of selfies is definitely not appreciated, so don't be rude / ignorant.
If you see a middle aged priest then he probably speaks French, but younger ones, as many train in the likes of New Zealand, have good English. Many friendly locals will talk to you to practice their English.
Don't be surprised to see locals around Saigon wearing rosary beads as a sign of their dedication, or similarly having holy icons on display in secular shops.
Good on them !

We passed by the church, my local friend told me this is the second large church in HCMC. Beautiful pink color! But in the beginning, the neighborhood objected to make this church pink because the usual color is orange brick color. Who would of thought it became the Instagram sensation after it change the color, local come here for wedding photos too.

The church is a little out of the way, but it's worth the walk.
The colours are great, and the design is absolutely beautiful.
When we went, it was closed, so if you want to have a look inside, make sure you check the days when it's open.

Unfortunately, this place was closed when we came for renovation work. That said, it was a bright church on a busy road, and it played some loud chiming bells on the hour. Not sure what the fuss was about to be honest. Really would not come out of the way.
