What an amazing trip! We enjoyed a lot of famous street food in Hanoi like bun cha, banh cuon,... The guide is friendly and professional. We learned more about vietnamese gastronomy and culture. That's interesting ! Highly recommend !

After an excellent experience with Discovery Indochina a few years ago for two weeks in Vietnam, we contacted them again to arrange a custom tour for two through northern Thailand and western Laos. Working with Ms. Giang, the trip was exactly what we hoped for, seamlessly transitioning from one local guide to another as we moved from location to location, including overland transportation and even a Mekong cruise. We worked with DI to go where we wanted, and were happy to see the additional interesting things that they offered. We highly recommend them for travels in and around Indochina!

Based on a recommendation from a friend from Australia, we booked our entire Vietnam holiday through Discovery Indochina (aside from international flights). All of the arrangements were done via email with their great team member, Ms. Giang. We visited Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ho Chi Minh. She booked all of our internal flights, accommodation, transfers and Halong Bay cruise on our behalf. It was very helpful to have drivers to pick us up from airports etc (we found taxi drivers a bit too keen to rip us off...). We also had a 4am pick up from our hotel in Ho Chi Minh to catch an early international flight so it was very helpful that this transfer was pre-organised. I also like that we had support whilst we were there in case of any issues. All the accommodation was 3 star and local run (we didn't want international). Ms Giang also organised either interconnecting or adjacent rooms for us as we have teenage children. Special mention also to Lilly who looked after us in Hanoi and Alice that took us on our complimentary street food tour of the Hanoi old quarter. I recommend using this tour service for anyone visiting Vietnam that would benefit from local knowledge and experience or anyone that is time poor and would like extra help.

On a whim, I had my hotel organise a motorbike tour around Hanoi yesterday afternoon. Lilian Anne from Discovery Indochina arrived at my hotel that afternoon. I wasn't sure where exactly to go but Lilian was able to make suggestions based on my interests and the time I had available (I had already booked a food tour for the evening). Whizzing around the streets of Hanoi on the back of Lilian's bike was the best decision I made. You can cover a lot of ground and get a sense of the real Hanoi. We started at Hoa Lo Prison, followed by the Temple of Literature, a bite to eat, the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, over Long Biên Bridge, Trấn Quốc Pagoda and finally local ice cream before Lillian dropped me at my food tour. Lilian spoke fluent English and at every site, Lilian had an extraordinary wealth of knowledge (especially surprising given the complexities of Vietnam's history). Indeed, a number of other foreign tourists who observed Lilian explaining various historical or cultural matters to me, came up to us to ask a quick question or two of her. And each would then turn to me and say "wow, she's really good". Very. I would strongly suggest that when you come to Hanoi you do a motorbike tour and, given my experience above, I would highly recommend Lilian Anne from Discovery Indochina. You will avoid the tourists traps, make the best use of your time and have a cheerful and knowledgable guide.

My wife and I have just returned from the most fantastic 5 week holiday in Myanmar which was organised for us through Discovery Indochina. We gave then the bones of our trip letting them know where we wanted to go and for how long and they then carried out all contact and discussions with the various hotels, cruise companies and local guides. Everything ran like clockwork and even when we made a late change (while actually on holiday) they accommodated our revised requirements and we had a fantastic time. The booking conditions were very reasonable and we were able to have the holiday at about half the price of the equivalent quoted by a company in UK. Emails were answered promptly and all our wishes acted on to create the holiday of a lifetime. Thank you Discovery Indochina
