Something to do once you are in Hanoi, show is about 50 minutes long. Cost 100,000 Dong per person. Colourful and talented showmanship. Good thing to pass time with.

We enjoyed the water puppet show - it went for under an hour which was long enough to appreciate the experience without getting bored. Clever puppet manipulation telling a story with humour.

This was recommended in a travel guide, so we visited and the show is very colourful and creative. The language barrier isn’t an issue. Very popular so tickets may not be available for the session. Some other sights close by to see if tickets are...More

I would recommend taking an hour to attend this very traditional Vietnamese entertainment. It is extraordinary how the cast can manipulate these forms from behind a huge screen. The pageantry is very clever and engaging. It is fun the watch the faces of the children...More

The water puppetry show depicts the village life of Vietnamese people in the 11th century of the Red river delta area. The music was very soulful and the puppetry was interesting. Wish there was some English commentary.

I was enchanted during the whole show. One of those things you will never see anywhere else. Yes, it was in Vietnamese but that didn't matter at all, very easy to understand what was going on. The dragons were the best.
