I would recommend taking an hour to attend this very traditional Vietnamese entertainment. It is extraordinary how the cast can manipulate these forms from behind a huge screen. The pageantry is very clever and engaging. It is fun the watch the faces of the children...More

It's a quaint must see thing in Hanoi. There are several such shows around it's a good way to spend an hour especially if it's raining

The water puppetry show depicts the village life of Vietnamese people in the 11th century of the Red river delta area. The music was very soulful and the puppetry was interesting. Wish there was some English commentary.

I was enchanted during the whole show. One of those things you will never see anywhere else. Yes, it was in Vietnamese but that didn't matter at all, very easy to understand what was going on. The dragons were the best.

This short (50 min) show was funny, enchanting, and unique, even if it was all in Vietnamese. Would recommend. We bought our tickets the morning of the show.

Don't miss this, it is so unlike anything you've seen before. Its cheap - just a few dollars. The live musicians are excellent and the little playlets interesting, varied and funny. All in Vietnamese, but it doesn't matter. You must see this when in Hanoi.
