Well worth your time and money. The show is only 45 minutes long but it's plenty of time to appreciate this ancient art form and to get a sense of how the Vietnamese people live and work in small villages. It's interesting to hear and...More

This activity was highly recommended and it was great to see, but it feels like the show is quite long. Perhaps would be better if stories were available in English so we could follow along, but great to see Vietnamese cultural heritage.

We absolutely loved the show! My two year old, husband and I all enjoyed it. Definitely a go to when in Hanoi.

Its incredible how the puppets made us laugh simply despite the language barrier. The comedy is great. They depicted daily life activities in a comical way!

Puppetry was nice, appeared to be pleasing some of the audience...however, no English guide book so didn’t follow what was going on, got bored :( Appears to be VERY popular....but I’d not recommend.

The paper puppet show is unique, depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. I have to say that should I go to Vietnam again then I probably wouldn’t pay the theatre another visit. Well worth a visit for those who has never...More

I'm often forced to attend puppet shows due to the wife having a puppet fetish of sorts. Anyhow, this is quite exceptional, it's performed in a large pond inside the auditorium, on either side of the pond you have members of a traditional orchestra and...More

It's an eye opening show and it's definitely worth every penny! Highly recommended. Tips: You can buy your ticket on the day itself but it will be better if you can buy it a day earlier at the ticket counter.

We booked our tickets through our hotel, you cannot book online. You can buy before performance at box office, reservation not mandatory, but good idea.
