Yip a good location to see locals and get great photos of Japanese bridge in the day and night time. It's a must do, safe to walk around it and a few places for drinks.

It used to be very dirty and barely accessible, there is now a ring road around it and you can ride a bike or run. Some swim in it, but I would not recommend it.

A great way to see the city, kill some time. Just stroll around the lake and you will see all kind of cool local things.

We took a motorised car along the lake and it was well worth the trip. Just over $20 AUS for an hour it was a nice relaxed ride around, and lots of small local coffee shops, bars and restaurants to stop at on the way.

This is the largest lake in Ha Noi, in a part of the Hay To area that has a lot of lakeside restaurants and activities. The well known Don's Bistro Hay To overlooks the lake. There are several hotels and beautiful villas. IMO, not a top attraction in itself, but worth seeing if in the neighborhood. Went in March, 2013.

West Lake no doubt a bigger, better lake for trying water sports, boating, fishing, lazing around, walking and spending quieter moments. It is worth visiting and spending some quality time at West Lake
