I walked here from my hotel and walked partially around the lake one evening. Not really much to see. The other side of the lake has a memorial to Sen. John McCain, which I saw earlier in the day and which is fairly interesting.

It's a decent place for a walk/bicycle ride, alright, but only travelers really committed to seeing slice-of-life scenes in Hanoi will get something out of it. I'm certainly not recommending avoiding it, I enjoyed my time here and walked around for about 2 hours, enjoying...More

Hanoi as whole is just an undeveloped city wake lake is part of the lake mark not much expectation can generate from this spot.
